This was the first WordPress theme that I made professionally for the sound designer and musician MesoTroniK.
It showcases some nice paintings and a self portrait of the artist inside a phone responsive theme. I designed the colour scheme to reflect and complement these paintings, by using the classic orange and blue colour dichotomy.
Site features include Soundcloud embeds, a review section and a contact form with a google captcha facility.
My personal favourite part of the site besides the paintings would be animation designed to recall the appearance of an audio analyser.
It combines sinusoidal functions to create the sensation of an audio visualiser at work without looking too realistic. Why would I not want it to look realistic you might add? Realism is actually not very interesting, and it will almost never form a kind of “chevron” shape that points upwards to the jumbo text. That was a graphic design decision.
Everything on this site comes together perfectly, the colours, the pictures, the design and the music/sfx.
